The WIA Muslim Youth Club (MYC) was established in 2007. After acknowledging the challenges which the Muslim youth face in today's society, the MYC was established in order to provide an environment that incorporates Islamic values and teachings while striving to making it fun and exciting for the youth at the same time.
During the school year, the MYC is open on Friday and Saturday evenings for the brothers and Sunday afternoon for the sisters. Brothers' Friday program consists of a weekly halaqah held by the Imam after Maghrib and a pizza party after Isha. Saturday's program includes a short talk geared towards the youth followed by team sports and activities.
Inside the MYC are a number of fun activities and games. These include: table tennis, pool, foosball table, Big-Screen TV, Wii, along with a variety of different video games.
During the summer, the MYC is open throughout the week. We also have some of the larger scale activities throughout the summer, such as camping and trips to places like Canada's Wonderland.
