Social Welfare & Assistance

Alhamdulillah, by the grace of ALLAH SWA, through the ISWA program, social services are being provided to our community. This very essential program is functioning through the combination of a part-time employee, and must importantly through the volunteer services of a group of dedicated brothers and sisters with various professional and educational backgrounds.

We work closely with organizations, such as Children’s Aid Society (CAS), the Multicultural Council (MCC), local correctional facilities, and rehabilitation institutions in our area. Alhamdulillah, a wide variety of services are provided, ranging from child protective CANS, family discord, newcomer settlement, foster care, seniors program, food bank, youth counseling, new Muslims support, inmate support and rehabilitation among other services. Alhamdulillah, ALLAH SWA has blessed us with the honor of serving those in need. Rasulullah (SSS) has informed us that the best of you are the ones who benefit others. May ALLAH SWT accept our humble efforts.

One example of an important achievement is that a protocol between CAS and ISWA has been developed and enacted, Alhamdulillah, through which ISWA is able to be involved and management stages of the case. The ISWA phone number is (519) 966-2355 ext.3, Fax: 1-866-875-5657 and email address; iswa@windsormosque.com. A 24hour hotline called the Naseeha Hotline is available for our youth; 1 866 NASEEHA (627-3342). Anyone wishing to be involved is this program may contract us through the particulars provided above.
